What Is a Novile?
A novile is a 40° aspect — the circle divided by nine (360° ÷ 9 = 40°). It belongs to the ninth harmonic, a family of aspects traditionally linked to spiritual development, gestation, and things coming to term. Nine is the number of completion — think of the nine months it takes to bring new life into being.
- Novile — 40° (one-ninth of the circle).
- Binovile — 80° (two-ninths).
- Quadranovile — 160° (four-ninths).
What the Novile Means
Where the major aspects describe outer dynamics — ease, tension, drive — the novile works inwardly. It is associated with spiritual gifts, hidden talent, and a sense of inner completion: abilities that mature privately over time and then emerge, seemingly fully formed.

1. Measure 40 degrees
Look for two planets roughly 40° apart. Because software often hides minor aspects by default, you may need to switch them on to see it.
2. Keep the orb tight
Trust the aspect only within about 1–2°. The narrower the orb, the more the novile behaves like a real, working connection.
3. Read the planets involved
Interpret the two planets as a quiet, inner collaboration — a gift developing between them — rather than as a loud, event-driven aspect.
