2. Check the cross-connections
Now see whether the endpoints connect by trine (120°) and sextile (60°). If each planet trines one planet from the other opposition and sextiles the other, the rectangle closes.
3. Mind the orbs
All six aspects need to hold within a reasonable orb. A pattern that only works with very wide orbs is weaker — the tighter the aspects, the more the rectangle behaves like a single, coordinated engine.
